Description

Red Lily Health Board is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service delivering primary health care across West Arnhem Land, supporting communities in Warruwi, Minjilang, Gunbalanya and Jabiru. We are seeking an experienced Human Resource Manager to help shape the next stage of our organisational workforce development as Red Lily continues to grow and strengthen its services across the region.

This role will lead to the continued development of our People & Culture function, supporting the organisation to move toward a more strategic, people-focused approach.

Working closely with the Business Manager and Executive team, the successful candidate will play a key role in implementing Red Lily’s Workforce Development Plan, strengthening recruitment and retention practices and developing practical HR systems, policies and tools that support leaders and teams across the organisation.

FINANCE MANAGER, DARWIN NT

About the Role

Red Lily is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead and strengthen our finance function.

This is not a transactional role. We need a strategic and systems-focused finance leader who can work autonomously, bring financial clarity to the Executive and Board, develop strong systems and build capability across the organisation. You will report to the Business Manager and work closely with the CEO, Executive team and Board.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end financial operations and reporting
  • Manage multi-cost centre budgets, forecasting and cash flow
  • Oversee audits, grant acquittals and funding compliance
  • Develop and implement financial policies and internal controls
  • Drive continuous quality improvement (CQI) within finance systems
  • Conduct supplier analysis and contract reviews to ensure value for money
  • Identify efficiencies and lead finance-related improvement projects
  • Mentor the Finance Officer and build financial literacy across managers
  • Present clear, practical financial insights to Executive and Board

About You

  • CPA/CA qualified (or near completion)

TRAINEE ABORIGINAL HEALTH PRACTITIONER (TAHP), VARIOUS LOCATIONS

Trainee Aboriginal Health Practitioner (TAHP)

Part-time (0.72 FTE / 5.5 hours per day)

About the Role

Red Lily Health Board is seeking expressions of interest from community members who are passionate about working with Red Lily in improving the health and wellbeing of your community. We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our team toi undertake the Trainee Aboriginal Health Practitioner (TAHP) Program.

This two-year traineeship provides a unique opportunity to complete the Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice through Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education (BITE).

As a TAHP, you’ll gain on-the-job training under the guidance of experienced health professionals while contributing to the delivery of culturally safe and effective primary health care in West Arnhem communities.

What You’ll Be Doing

Under supervision and in line with your training, you will:

  • Deliver culturally safe primary health care to individuals, families, and communities.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary health team to support positive health outcomes.
  • Act as a vital link between community culture and health service programs.
  • Participate in health education and promotion activities.
  • Assist in emergency care situations within your scope of practice.
  • Maintain accurate health records and ensure client confidentiality.
  • Support the smooth operation of health centres in Minjilang, Warruwi, Jabiru, and outstations.

About You

To be successful, you will:

  • Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and meet BITE enrolment requirements.
  • Be enrolled (or eligible to enrol) in the Certificate IV Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice with BITE.

This position is part of the Red Lily Primary Health Care team that provides remote primary health care in the West Arnhem region (including homelands). You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary remote primary health care team, that manage client care throughout the lifespan, treat illness, promote wellbeing, provide education & training, and encourage community health action to contribute to better health outcomes.

Your role will involve the integration of Indigenous cultural imperatives in the delivery of healthcare in the context of an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service.
